Pollachi mapillai a comeback for the senior DUO

I would like to convey my experiences on seeing the movie Pollachi Mapillai with u now.I had been to the press show in south indian film chamber yesterday evening .It was really without any expectations that i went to the film as it had been kept on the shelves for such a along time.[5yrs].Starring Sathyaraj,Koundamanui,Vinu chakravarthy,Mani vannan,T.P.Gajendran and others ,Directed by Debutant Lakshmanan and produced by Mangai Harirajan it had been tagged as a comeback for the duo of sathyaraj and koundamani and it really stands upto the tagline.
The story is how two friends ,played by sathyaraj and koundamani,who are jobless and live on the expectation of just living that day happily from the earning they get by their mischiefs in pollachi market go on to become heir to a big landlord played by vinu chakravarthy.Though the lead duo look older .their humour is back in full flow.With TPGajendran and manivannan joining the show..it went on to become one of the most entertaining movies seen in recent times.We can go without any expectations and i am sure we will come out in a happy and relaxed mood.Though the budget of the movie is evident in song making..skipping the songs..the movie is full of trade mark koundmani and sathyaraj comedy that even hardest of the critics who came for the show would have laughed heart out atleast once.The director can be appreciated for his fast screen play and pretty decent dialogues and i am sure he can do better if given a bigger canvas.It was surely one of the most light hearted movies i ever saw and its worth a try to see it so that we can feel relaxed amidst our hectic schedule and stressful works.

karthik anitha movie review

Karthik Anitha is a low budget movie aimed at family audience.Directed by debutant srihari,Rathan makes his debut as the hero opposite new face from kerala.Supporting characters give the strength to the screenplay with Kota srinivasa rao and rajan p dev playing the respective fathers of lead pair with ease.The story revolves arond the lead pair ,who are friends from childhood and grow up together.Whether they realise each others love and become succesful lovers is the movie.The directoer can be given a pat for not going for formula masla item numbers and fights and having confidence on his script.Music forms an important aspect in youth movies like this ,,but unfortunately the music fails to impress.The lead pair have done a decent job in acting and technicaly the movie is not bad.
Overall karthik anitha is a decent family entertainer,worth a watch for the summer as IPL is not in india,but i am sure better music and crisper screen play would have made the movie bigger success.

Villu music review

Villu has been one of the most expected movies for sometime with the succesful combination of
Director Prabhudeva and Ilaya thalapathy vijay.After scoring the bgm for dasavtharam DSP{DeviSriPrasad}has scored....infact dubbed most of his songs for villu.For keen follwers like me the first impression when we hear the telugu hits in tamil is whether the music director had enough commitment in this new project??but most of the people having not heard the telugu songs i think it may have some impact.
Coming to the songs...jalsa is a dubbing from telugu jalsa and daddymummy from shankar dada.The melody nee kobapattal and fast beat dheemthanaka has strong andhra flavour with vaada mapillay and hey rama songs having more ilayathalapathy style.
On the whole though it has been a retuning of telugu songs mostly..i think eventually the songs will be hits.

VERDICT : AVERAGE , ON COMPARING WITH THE EXPECTATIONS.......
